Brilliant Writing
Year 1 children are busy learning all about how to write letters as part of their English work. This week they wrote some beautiful letters to Mrs Williams. They were delighted to receive some very special certificates and letters from Mrs Williams. She was very impressed with our writing!
Thank you Evan
A very big thank you to Evan who has kindly donated some beautiful books for our school library. It is always lovely to see the children enjoying sharing books together. If you have any unwanted or outgrown books at home we would be delighted to receive them.
Outdoor Classroom Day
There is no better place to enjoy Outdoor Classroom Day than enjoying a morning in our beautiful woodland.

Artists in the making
Following on from learning all about Andy Goldsworthy last week, this week we are busy learning about the artist Lowry. We have been comparing examples of their work and exploring how they both used observations of the world around them as inspiration for their work. We headed out to our wonderful school grounds today to learn about the horizon line. We observed how small houses look across the river when standing on our school river banks and had a go at sketching our observations. We then headed back in the classroom to have a go at drawing some buildings in the style of Lowry whilst thinking about perspective.

Keeping Healthy
As part of our PSHE work this term we are learning all about how we can keep healthy. Today we learnt all about the importance of looking after our teeth. Miss Hall has set us the challenge to complete our Teeth Brushing Charts at home over the next four weeks. We would love to see some photographs of the children looking after their teeth at home and seeing the completed charts in four weeks time.
